Louis Vuitton Celebrates Earth Day

Louis Vuitton is also celebrating Earth Day and its 40th anniversary by offering 10% discount on all sales done over their website. This 10% will be donated to the Global Green USA to support their various programs like coming up with initiatives to help educate K-12 schools about how to be more green.
LV is also very active in sharing their own messages and insights on how to save the environment via their official website and twitter page. It matters for a huge corporation like Louis Vuitton to take part in such projects that would bring a greater sense of social awareness to majority in protecting the environment.

Fresh from the runway, here is a sneak peek of what the Louis Vuitton Spring 2010 collection has to offer. Apparently inspired by the designers obsession with the youth, it has one of the most unusual collection of recent history. And not everything is well received like the huge, furry attachment to the bag, the mustachioed shoes and all sorts of tassels, twigs, and what not. The rest of the collection looks decent enough with colorful mix-and-matches of various materials that the young is expected to fall in love with. The color choices is also something to take note of: fresh, bright and light, I guess the designers really had the youth in mind.

Exquisite! Louis Vuitton’s newest offering as a result of a collaboration with jeweler Lorenz Baumer is simply exquisite. The $2.5 million bib style necklace above is part of the collection inspired by LV Spirit Of Travel campaign to benefit charities. It features Baumer’s “unique, ebullient jewelry chaos rendered in exquisite gemstones”. Included in the collection is a one-off 30-carat diamond ring that was auctioned yesterday when the full line up was launched at LV flagship store in Champ-Elyseès, Paris. The elite collection has six sets of jewelry introduced to a handful of society bigwigs.
