Starting Out as a Work from Home Mom

Starting Out as a Work from Home Mom

I have worked behind a desk in an office for the 8-10 years. I finally decided to resign and stay home to take care of my husband and my kid. It was rough at first as I have pretty much lost my source of income but to my luck, someone hired me to work from home.
Women were once expected to do nothing but take care of her family by staying home. Times changed us. Most of us say that we work for equality but by doing this, we have sacrificed our priorities. Men are there to provide but in hard times, it just wasn’t possible for most.
I’m proud to say that I am one of the lucky few. Yes, I did sacrifice having lesser income coming in but I found that there are ways to little by little earn as much as I used to. Staggered and some unstable sources but for what it’s worth, I get to spend more time with my family.
In the past months, I have seen a lot of changes. For the con, less luxuries but that’s just it. For the pro’s, my kid has become more positive in his outlook in life. You know why? Because I’m there more to guide him. He has the security of having his mom to be his confidante first hand and not a random stranger. Another one of the pro’s, I get to cook for my family, prepare their snacks, and my husband and I and our son gets to have a home-cooked meal and bonding time during dinner. This is more than enough reason for me to continue on with where I am now.
I just wish the same for more women out there.

Hermès Leather Garden Party Bag

Garden Party Bag, Hermès red negonda leather with chevron canvas lining, silver and palladium Clou de Selle snap closure, 14″x 10.25″ x 6.5″ $2,625.00
Infomation above is noted as per their website as of today, January 25, 2010.
Every woman loves bags. It’s a given. And if you’re a woman, you know what Hermès is. Well, maybe not all knows why the price is such for such a simple bag but just so you know, Hermès does not use assembly lines; only one craftsman may work on one handbag at a time, hand-stitching each individual piece. Due to the labour-intensive nature of Hermès production methods and the use of rare materials (sometimes including exotic skins as well as precious metals), one bag can take 18 to 24 hours to create. When Hermès leather goods require repair, owners are encouraged to bring the item back to any Hermès store where it can be shipped to the factory in Paris for repair or reconditioning. If that’s not enough explanation to you as for the cost; Those outfitted by the company to some extent include: the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, John F. Kennedy, Jackie Kennedy, Sammy Davis, Ingrid Bergman, Lauren Bacall, Humphrey Bogart, Romy Schneider, Catherine Deneuve, and Grace Kelly. Hermès became more popular thru the “Kelly Bag” which was named after Grace Kelly as she was seen a lot carrying it.
Question is, how much would you spend on a bag?
